McKinney: What's Important
Forget the issue at hand with Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA). Forget that she assaulted a Capitol hill police officer. Forget that she played the race card in relation to that incident. Forget her bad hair choice. Forget all the craziness for now and deal with it later.
Look at her eyes. Look at them and remember the eyes of yet another woman—surnamed Wilbanks—who also annoyed the American news-watching public and crossed the law-abiding line not so long ago.
Tell Ms. McKinney to ‘get thee to a physician’ in order fix her possible thyroid issues. It may not change her politics, but at least she might become a bit more sane and coherent. Okay, maybe not, but letting her know that she might have a correctable problem is the *right* thing to do—both for herself and for the rest of us.
After all, Jennifer Wilbanks is merely an ordinary citizen. Rep. McKinney is part of a body that makes critical and world-changing decisions.

I so want to see them both on a reality show, preferably with George Galloway

Holy bejus... your powers of observation astound. Thanks for pointing this out!

I detest McKinney's politics and her worldview. But the tendency to imply physical sickness by picture is scary. Go to the left and look at all the "medical experts" who have said that President Bush is an alcholic, mentally ill, ect. ect, ect, with long distant hack analysis. I have no sympathy for her. She race baits to cover her own stupidity. But this is not the way to expose her lack of quality. Stick to what she say's and does. It is far more effective.

Kevin: I'm not trying to be "effective." I don't control what happens to Ms. McKinney nor am I trying to expose her lack of quality since it's long been exposed (see 9/11 money incident). I'm simply saying what I think. Don't assume that every stated opinion has an ulterior motive attached to it.

Most interesting observation. Did the runaway lover have a thyroid condition?
McKinney has a room temp IQ and a huge ego, not to mention a large karmic resentment. Whether or not those are part of her thyroid syndrome, she's a very reactive person who shouldn't be in Congress.
Shame on that district in Georgia.
Posted by: dymphna | April 05, 2006 at 02:13 PM
And they're both from Georgia!
Posted by: pchas | April 05, 2006 at 02:30 PM
McKinney is a barking moonbat. Don't hold everybody in Georgia responsible for her being in Congress. She gets elected in a "special" district, filled with people just as nutty as she is.
I don't think she has a medical condition. She's just naturally a foul-natured lunatic.
Posted by: Acidman | April 05, 2006 at 04:41 PM
Graciousness is something one looks for in a public official. I continue to be stunned when public officials act as though they are special - demanding things like getting around security etc. They are of the people for the people, right?
sadly, her lack of humility is all too common among the elected elite.

McKinney's no dummy. She's smart, sneaky and manipulative.
Like any successful politician, she knows what plays well with her base.

Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) its not a race matter... get a grip
Ok folks,
It's really getting a little much. I'm sorry but Representative Cynthia McKinney, is taking this too far.
Ok, Rep. Cynthia McKinney, admits her lapel pin, which is her ID to get into the "peoples house" was absent from her clothing, and from all accounts she refused to pause when asked and a confrontation with an officer ensued.
Now she claims she was being singled out, even racially profiled, by the police. She stated at a press conference, "This whole incident was instigated by the inappropriate touching and stopping of me – a female, black, progressive Congresswoman."
Maybe I'm just not getting it, But it appears that Ms. McKinney is making a big deal of nothing.
Those of us who work inside office buildings are aware that identification is necessary to get into buildings these days. 911 has caused us all to very understanding of security. We all have to show our ID to get into buildings these days. We use our ID's to get on trains, planes, make purchases with our credit cards and so on.
No one is above the law, no one is above the rules. When I have visited the capitol, or go into another Federal building I have to show I.D.
I guess the bottom line is Rep. Mckinney, should have just done what other people have done. When she's stopped by Capitol police, both with and without her pin attached to her jacket or dress, she should stop, says hello, and says who she is, show her ID and keep it movin.
The unpleasant confrontational situation could have been mitigated if Rep. Mckinney would stop taking herself so seriously regarding this incident. So what if some people think we all look alike, who cares?
She is an active member of the congressional black caucus. Rep. Mckinney should be addressing big ticket issues impacting her congressional district, African-Americans as a whole and Katrina victims.
Rep. McKinney should get a grip, apologize and keep it movin. Otherwise she may find herself with Republicans introducing motions to censure her behavior as conduct unbecoming a member of the House of Representatives.
Candidly, she should be proud and honored to wear her congressional pin representing the great state of Georgia.

She actually reminds me of Beaker from the Muppet Show.
Incidentally, Representative McKinney did apologize, but it read like "I apologize that cracker pig laid his hands on my regal self."

Ms. Cynthia McKinney seems to have recanted, but it is not her looks, but actions and words, that have been regrettable. Has she made sure that she will be reelected this November by her actions? Whether or not she has thyroid problem should be looked at by an MD, but Juliette is very perceptive at least! Ms. McKinney may be political genius compared with the rest of us!

It's easy to be of two different points of view here. Cynthia McKinney apologized -- so be it. However, Cynthia is closely associated with Harlem's Himmler, Al Sharpton, and never hesitates to use Jew-baiting in her never ending attacks against the American establishment. I view this screaming idiot to belong to the later category.
Cynthia honey, we hear you, but we don't believe a word you say!
Posted by: Mescalero | April 06, 2006 at 07:53 PM
Cynthia McKinney has embarassed herself, The Congress, and especially black people. Her claims of racism and sexism, along with her questionable antics of the past, have probably confirmed your assessment of her sanity. The eyes have it!

I would never vote for a candidate whose policy was anti-black. I consider Blacks who vote for anti-white candidates to be beneath contempt. Crow Jim harms a lot more Blacks than Jim Crow ever did.

I have Grave's Disease and it is no fun. When I was first diagnosed, I had a resting pulse rate of 88 and slept only 2-4 hours a night. My eye disease kicked in about 9 months later. I only look a bit like Marty Feldman (he had the disease too!).
I also was on what my wife called the M & M diet. I kept losing weight after eating dinner, plus half a 1 pound bag of M & M's, every night for 6 months. Normally, I'm a 200-210 poulnd 6' 3" male. This disease whittled me down to 180, with no strength, and loss of muscle mass.
I don't think she has Grave's, the weight isn't right, but that's just me looking at her pictures.
Her interviews, on the other hand, sure make the case for another type of diagnosis altogether.

Red youre story puts a serious
note to this and negates my above bullshit I have a good freind
{ fellow contractor who Ive worked with for 16 years } He was diagnosed with an overactive pituatary and lost about 30 lbs.
quickly Then he got on some kinda medecine and he regained weight This was 6 years ago
He never talked about it but I Know he was scared Native americans tend to be real private about whats going on with them so I took the hint I know this is part of the endocrine system and I know they can treat defficiencie
like insulin { My brothers diabetic since age 12] but what do can they do for over prodution?
Is it adrenaline ? I wish you alot of luck see alot of doctors

underestimate natural herbs good luck P.S. just one idiots view of stuff
