Farce

Looks like the DNC needs to send its minions to a Microsoft Word certification course or get out of the document-creating business using the program altogether. This latest work of art has Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito as its subject and appears to document his alleged ties to the Mafia, among other things. (An Italian involved with the Mafia; how original.) One problem: the properties of the document show the authors to be DNC employees Douglas Graham and Chris Prendergast and its most recent editor is shown to be DNC research director Devorah Adler. The original title is, "how they made their $$, personal holdings, the whole deal." Kevin at Wizbang notices some other things as well.

First it was written July 7, 2005, implying that the DNC developed these anonymous hit pieces on every possible Supreme Court nominee prior to Roberts nomination. Second, while Prendergrast might have been [the author of] the original version, DNC research director Devorah Adler was the most recent editor. For someone who was just promoted into the research director position in September, Adler stumbles right out of the gate...

I realize that all sides do their hit pieces, but is it too much to ask to at least be a little sneakier about it?

I don't get it, what's the big deal about this docuement? I'm serious.

It's a hit piece. The fact that its DNC origins are visible (in the properties of the document) takes the sting from it and makes it useless to its authors.

The fact that the DNC didn't realize this makes them incompetent even in their perfidy.
