At Castle Arrgghh!!, InstaPilot fisks journalist Tom Oliphant as the latter was being interviewed by Hugh Hewitt this past Friday. (BTW, thanks for the link, Hugh!)
In various parts of his rebuttal, InstaPilot utters a Dean-like scream in the same places that I did after listening. That mark of frustration is provoked by more than Mr. Oliphant’s words; it was his attitude that made one want to reach into the radio and pull out something vital. Mr. Oliphant’s responses reeked of superiority, in spite of how patently ridiculous his answers were.
Even the terrorists are targets of his condescension; when they say what their motivations are, he doesn’t believe them. And, of course, he knows better about how to defeat any enemy than do the men and women who continuously study and train to do the same. It’s infuriating.

It’s a good interview and a good fisking. However, I wish someone would ask an individual like Mr. Oliphant what it is that black Sudanese Muslims have done to make Islamists murder and enslave them. I’d love to hear the answer because there can be only two honest ones. Either he will say that he doesn’t know or he will say that the black Sudanese have done nothing to incur the wrath of the Islamists except exist at the inconvenience of an evil force.
