Snazzy Threads (UPDATED)
If she decides not to run for president in 2008 or toss her proverbial hat in the ring for NFL Commissioner in 2009, the Secretary of State might want to consider becoming a fashion model for the mature-lady set.

(I’ve *got* to get back in the gym!)
UPDATE: All the guys are all heated up, and having black women in black fantasies, while we women are just saying, "You go, girl!" and getting back on that Stair-Master. ;-)
UPDATE: I like Sci-Fi, but some folks need to ease up on the repeated viewings of Star Wars DVDs. LMAO!

Wow. Now that is the epitome of class and style.
I can only hope she runs against Dragon Lady in 2008.

As we used to say back in the day, she is "too clean".

She had an oil tanker named after her! (She was on the Chevron Board of Directors for a while before joining the Bush administration). Once she became a 'public figure' the company had to un-name the ship. But maybe someday she'll have an aircraft carrier named after her - that would be kind of cool, I think.

And how many look classy good in go-go boots? "I am woman, hear me roar you liberal infidels!" ;)

Hello. First, let me say 'thank you' for what you are doing for the United States. Second, I will be adding you to my ever-growing blog roll.
Third, to Dr. Rice: I don't see what the fuss is all about. Not only is she smart and beautiful but demonstrates undeniable class and fashion sense.
Which is a much-welcomed change from certain women in the public eye, whose dress apparently amounts to whoring at the bottom of the laundry hamper in the late hours. Dr. Rice is a wonderful example as a role model, in dress, talent, and intelligence.
The world could do well with more like her.

Is it Star Wars or the Matrix?
Actually, she looks wonderful. Talk about redefining the "power suit." :-)
That blue blog you linked to just doesn't get it. If they want to be embarassed because she isn't dressing to affect a posture of false humility, that's their choice. (And may actually be a remarkable window into the liberal mind.)

The lady seems to do well at everything she turns her hand to. The thought occurs to me that she wouldn't be the first to go from SecState to the Presidency. (She'd be the seventh to do so)
Bright, articulate and nice legs. Who could ask for more?

And I am thanking a merciful God that Madeline Albright never, ever, tried this.

It's the whole male gaze - the sexualized imagery and conversation in the blog world that is disturbing to me. I don't care what she is wearing, as long as she is doing her job.

netwoman: I'll admit that some of the commentary on the outfit is a little...well...slobbery and overblown. Sometimes a nice outfit is just a nice outfit. But why expect men not to be men? They like what they see.
And yes, even if the SOS were a candidate for the Worst-Dressed List, it wouldn't matter. Her competence, of course, is solely what matters, as you said.
That said, what's the harm in pointing out her sartorial competence as well?

"Bright, articulate and nice legs."
Hmmm. Maybe our hostess doesn't need to go to the gym that badly after all.

We call those hooker boots where I come from. It could have been nice, but can most people think Black Leather=Dominatrix. She could've done much better.

Anon: If you say so. I don't know anything about hookers or dominatrixes, so I'll defer to your expertise.
