The Linker of Worlds (Allahpundit) has a round-up of debate responses that I'm not going to top, so I won't try. I'll just link it. Sounds to me like a Bush win. For the Record: The Armorer ain't watching any... [Read More]

Tupperware! Woohooo!
This is wonderful news. That man looks so happy and proud!

Yes, it's beautiful. Welcome to the democracy club, old-timer!

*Yay!* That is a cool picture...I wonder when someone's going to start talking about voter 'disenfranchisement' over there? Oh, and how can it ever work without electronic voting machines? *smirk*

David Blue! Did you win? I just woke up :-)
(I'll find out soon enough, I guess, but I sure hope Howard won)

He did! Howard won! Oh what a GOOD day this is!!!!! I'm happy for the whole world today.

Everyone who loves liberty is an Afghan today. We won't know if there'll need to be a run-off until laer this month. I was also praying for a Howard victory today to set the stage for a Bush victory and they pulled through. Good on ya m8s. Couldn't find a Fosters to celebrate the Howard victory to save my life. Did find a chilled Guinness as a substitute but will have to wait hours til its an acceptable room temperature before I crack it. Leave it to southerners to chill my Guinness, yuck.

Preliminary results of the Afghani election will be ready by Monday, Oct 11. A run-off will be scheduled for November (not October)if none of the 16 candidates captures a majority. Only minor violence was reported. Looking good, so far.

Not trying to upstage you, but I think that This pic is pretty cool too.

There are pics all over the internet today showing women in burqas lined up to vote and one of a line of men that seems to go forever into the distance.

"From time to time, the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." ---- Thomas Jefferson

Let's remember all those who made this possible.

Absofreakinlutely. I just think about how many terrorist scum that image pisses off, and it just makes my day.

I heard a quote today on the radio this morning from one of those women in a burqa who asserted that she wore it by choice, and was pleased to know that if she chose not to wear it she would not be subject to a beating. I think that you will see some of the experimentation into balancing modesty with fashion currently going on in Iran spreading to Afghanistan.
