Have A Heart
Former President Clinton is in the hospital for a…bypass?....heart attack?
ABC and CBS television reported that Clinton, 58, had checked into New York Presbyterian Hospital for quadruple heart bypass surgery.
A Democratic Party official told Reuters that Clinton, who served two terms as president from 1993 to 2001, had checked into the hospital with chest pains. Clinton's office said he would undergo heart bypass surgery soon.
The severity of Clinton's coronary problem was discovered after tests at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, ABC News reported. His coronary results were not favorable and he was found to have multiple lesions, it said. CBS News said doctors found a blockage.
Surely, there will be a lot of insensitive jokes floating around the blogosphere regarding this turn of events. But heart trouble is a very common malady among older men. As much as I dislike the guy, I certainly wish him well as far as his health goes. He might even get a prayer on his behalf out of me. (“Pray for your enemies.”)
When his health returns, we can again go back to ripping into him.

I never liked Clinton, and I felt that a lot of the folks in his sycophantic coterie were (and are) pretty ugly people. But I sure hope that he pulls through this crisis and returns to health. And I also hope he finds something useful to do with his post-Presidential life, as Jimmy Carter did.

I agree. As an individual I have no use for the man, however I wish sickness on no one.
I wish him well.

Maybe he'll have a change of heart :)
But seriously I wish him well and I hope his recovery is smooth. I might even pray for him.

Juliette,
This is indeed news! The Compassionate Liberal has a heart! Wait til I tell the others!
Seriously, I do agree with you. That is a dreadful thing to face and I do wish him well.
Glad you led the way in being gracious and kind and a speedy recovery.

I haven't seen the insensitive jokes you predicted. In fact, just the opposite (via Allah).

Flippant bastard that I am I must confess.
My first reaction when they said that he had a heart blockage was "So Remove Hillary's nail file. Whats the problem?"
Either way I hope he does pull through. Otherwise I got use him as a poster child anymore.
My Step dad just recently had a similar surgery and while it was touch and go he is doing much better now and even feels 100% better than before the surgery ever took place.
We'll just have to see how slick willie does I guess....

We definitely don't need another presidential funeral so soon, especially for a Democrat. Get well soon, Slick.

I hope Bill Clinton makes a speedy and complete recovery, and lives to be an old, old man, laughing, happy, quick to tell big fish stories about his youth, and fresh with the nurses.
