Former President Clinton is in the hospital for a…bypass?....heart attack?
ABC and CBS television reported that Clinton, 58, had checked into New York Presbyterian Hospital for quadruple heart bypass surgery.
A Democratic Party official told Reuters that Clinton, who served two terms as president from 1993 to 2001, had checked into the hospital with chest pains. Clinton's office said he would undergo heart bypass surgery soon.
The severity of Clinton's coronary problem was discovered after tests at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, ABC News reported. His coronary results were not favorable and he was found to have multiple lesions, it said. CBS News said doctors found a blockage.
Surely, there will be a lot of insensitive jokes floating around the blogosphere regarding this turn of events. But heart trouble is a very common malady among older men. As much as I dislike the guy, I certainly wish him well as far as his health goes. He might even get a prayer on his behalf out of me. (“Pray for your enemies.”)
When his health returns, we can again go back to ripping into him.
